Frost

Well the colors of Autumn
have quickly faded
from their vibrant fire engine reds,
tangerine's and daffodil yellows
to a dried sort of russet.

The wind is starting
to swirl around the trees
shaking what is left of the leaves

to the grown to be forgotten

till Spring rolls around.

We had our first hard frost this morning.
